Scheduled for to 00:00 am in Room 1

Presenter(s)

  • Dr. Larry K Phillippe with Texas Tech University

Program Summary

This session will focus on three significant events that occurred in 2019 that significantly impact and institutions control over Emotional Support Animals, and how those events shape an institutions ability to write and implement effective policy to manage the dramatic increase of student bringing ESA’s and Service Animals to campus. New guidance from both the Department of Transportation, the Center for Disease Control, and the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development now allow institutions to develop clear and effective guidelines for policy development and documentation requirements. Participants will be able to look at sample policies of other institutions and have a framework for developing their own revisions to either new or existing campus policies.
