Providing Access through Case Management

Program Summary

Case Management models were traditionally used in social work and health care, but are now being implemented into student services to increase retention and student support, especially with high-risk populations. In this presentation, we will review A&M-SA’s Disability Support Services (DSS) history, components of our case management model, challenges we have encountered, and a review of case studies.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Understand aspects of the A&M-SA DSS case management model.
  2. Identify ways to implement components of the case management model.
  3. Recognize the benefits and challenges of the case management model in DSS.
  4. Apply case management approach to case studies.
