Meeting the Needs of Underrepresented Students with Disabilities

Program Summary

This session will examine the ever-changing population of students in Higher Education and explore the issues and needs of today’s students with disabilities, specifically those who identify with other underrepresented populations. The presenters will provide methods to promote inclusivity within the campus environment and identify campus resources with whom DRS offices can collaborate to achieve this goal.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify relevant issues pertaining to 2 other underrepresented populations
  2. Identify 3 campus resources to assist SWD who also identify with another underrepresented group.
