Each year, AHEAD in Texas is able to offer scholarship funding to students making an impact on their campus and in their community.
Last year, we were able to award two $1000 scholarships to talented, hard-working students across the state. Amanda Saenz (Angelo State University) and Maikaila Schmidt (Baylor University) were recipients of these awards for 2018 – and this year, with your help, we’ll be able to offer these awards again this year.
Your involvement with our silent auction is a HUGE reason we’re able to offer these scholarships – and we’re excited about the contributions we can make together in 2019!
Get ready to place your bids in this year’s silent auction!
During this year’s annual AHEAD in Texas conference, you’ll have a chance to bid on a number of exciting items during our silent auction. Items range from university-themed apparel, to food, to everyday items and anything in between.
All proceeds from the auction go directly into our scholarship fund, which means anything you pay goes directly toward helping students cover tuition and other academic costs through annual scholarships. We all know college isn’t getting any cheaper, right? Here’s your chance to make a big impact – and score some cool items at the same time.
So aside from checking out the auction items and bidding feverishly to win your prizes, how can you help us make this year’s auction and scholarship giveaway the best it can be?
We need your silent auction donations.
Our silent auction is a hit year after year because you all contribute the BEST items. We’re always excited to see what you rally up – because you never disappoint.
Whether you pick up the phone and call a few connections in your community, or conjure up funds to put something together as a department, we can’t thank you enough for your tremendous giving each year.
This year, you can submit a quick online form to let us know what you’re bringing with you. If you’d rather email or just have questions about donating auction items, you can always contact Justin Romack at jromack@tamu.edu for more information.
As your making plans and packing your bags for Waco next week, please don’t forget to bring those silent auction items with you – so we can keep doing amazing work for students across the state.
We’ll see you in Waco very, very soon.
